Practice Problems: Fundamental Theorem of Calculus
1 :
Compute the definite integral of from to . (Hint: Use the fundamental theorem of calculus to save your sanity!)
According to the fundamental theorem of calculus, you can use the antiderivative of the integrand and then evaluate the
antiderivative at the end value () and the start value (). Subtract what you got for the start value from what you got for the end
value to get your answer!
Recall that you don’t need to simply here for Xronos, but you may need to for future applications so it is good practice. But if you
are struggling, try entering in the answer unsimplified to see if you have the right idea but maybe an arithmetic mistake is
throwing you.
