Make-Up Policies

Make-Up Policies.

This course follows all of the UF Attendance Policies. Specific policies for the types of activities in this course are described below.

Progress Exams: If you know you will miss a Progress Exam for a valid reason, you must inform the course coordinator at least two weeks in advance. You will then be allowed a make-up Progress Exam within two weeks.

You will take all of your exams through ProctorU. You are provided a 3-day window to take the exam during. You can check that your laptop can take the exam through ProctorU (after signing up for the exam, this option will be available on their website). Therefore, there are no make-ups for missing the exam due to not having checked your computer beforehand or waiting until the last minute and not having an available timeslot.

Final Exam: You will again have a 3-day window to take the Final Exam during. The end of the semester is extremely busy and grades are due soon after the exam period is over. It is imperative that you be proactive when it comes to scheduling and taking the Final Exam.

Online Homework: All homework assignments on Xronos will be due at the end of the semester. There will be no make-up or extensions for these assignments.

Weekly Assignments: These assignments will be open for a week at a time. Unless you have a valid excuse that covers the entire week the assignment is open, there are no make-ups. Having technical issues just before the due date is unfortunate, but not a valid excuse for missing the assignment.
