This section is an exploration of inequalities, their uses and their mechanics.

By the end of this chapter students should be able to:

Identify and utilize inequalities to appropriately compare two quantities. (§3.2)
Compute and verify inequalities in algebraic inequalities. (§3.3)
Algebraically manipulate inequalities without invalidating the original inequality (§3.4)
Isolate the dependent variable in linear and non-linear inequalities in order to solve for all valid solutions (§3.5)
Graphically represent all solutions to linear and non-linear inequalities (§3.6)
